Capt. Macks Striper Umbrellas can be fished in depths of 1-25 feet when flatlined or used at any depth behind a Downrigger.

For each additional ounce of lead you add, the umbrella will run about 2 feet deeper. To increase weight, you can use heavier jigs, place additional jigs on each of the innner loops, or add egg sinkers on the line above the umbrella.

Depth control is key to maximizing your results. The depth chart printed on the back of the header card on the pre-rigged models will allow you to place the umbrella within a foot of the desired depth. Please keep in mind that any alterations of the components (line size, weight of the jigs, boat speed, always take the wind into consideration when calculating boat speed) of Captain Mac's ready to fish Umbrella can dramatically effect the depth of the rig.
